President Trump Speaks Out on St. Louis Park Pledge Controversy

President Donald Trump is speaking out over the Pledge of Allegiance controversy making headlines in St. Louis Park. On Thursday at the White House, he said: “There used to be a time when you could proudly declare ‘I am a citizen of the United States’. Now they’re trying to erase the existence of a very important word and a very important thing: citizenship. They’re even coming after the Pledge of Allegiance in Minnesota." The president also said he believes he can win Minnesota in 2020, and said this controversy is an example of why.
