Election Day 2018: Less Than 48 Hours to Go
We are in crunch time mode as we count down to Election Day on Tuesday with all-out efforts by candidates, political parties and special interest groups to earn your vote in the 2018 midterms.
Many political experts and insiders call the week leading up to the elections "kitchen sink" week - where candidates and their supporters will throw everything they've got at voters to try and rack up votes at the polls.
This week, new KSTP/SurveyUSA polls show where candidates stand in both the Minnesota attorney general's race and the governor's race. Sunday night at 10, we'll have exclusive new results in the special U.S. Senate race between Tina Smith and Karin Housley.
State House Leaders Discuss What's at Stake in Midterm Elections at State Capitol
All 134 seats in the Minnesota House of Representatives are up for election in 2018 this year. Republican currently hold 76 seats while the DFL controls 55 seats. Three seats are currently vacant. In order to regain control of the House, the DFL would need to flip 11 seats to their control. Republicans have held control of the House since 2015.
Republican House Speaker Kurt Daudt and DFL House Minority Leader Melissa Hortman joined Tom Hauser in studio Sunday morning to discuss what's at stake in the House and the entire state Legislature in the upcoming midterm elections.
