'At Issue at the Fair': Walz, Craig and Lewis

Updated: August 29, 2019 05:51 AM

Call it "At Issue at the Fair" or "At Issue on a Stick," either way it'll be a great show to be broadcast Sunday morning on 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS.

Republican Jason Lewis leads off the show talking about why he decided to run for the U.S. Senate instead of his old Congressional seat.

"I wanted to go where I could have the most impact," Lewis said of his decision to challenge Democratic Senator Tina Smith. "I do think the Senate is the last firewall for freedom. If we don't take back the House the Senate is the only thing standing up for the Constitution, standing up for the prospect, standing up for reasonableness."

Congresswoman Angie Craig who beat Lewis in 2018 will also be on the show talking China trade and farm policy. Governor Tim Walz will discuss problems at the Department of Human Services and tell us why he still wants a special session on the insulin affordability issue.

Tune in Sunday at 10 a.m. on 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS.
