Zoey's Voice: An update following a life-changing surgery

A parent's wish comes true.

A life-changing surgery has given a 3-year-old girl her voice.

5 EYEWITNESS NEWS Reporter Ellen Galles first introduced you to Zoey Ellis from Coon Rapids in September.

Zoey was born with a rare condition called CHAOS, or Congenital High Airway Obstruction Syndrome. It meant her voicebox was fused shut her entire life, preventing her from laughing, crying and even breathing on her own.
