A fire in Stearns County damaged a home early Tuesday morning.

The Stearns County Sheriff's Office said 28-year-old Bridjett Breitbach, of Sauk Centre, awoke to smoke alarms going off in her home at about 1:38 a.m., and found a portion of her house on fire.

The Sauk Centre Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire. A wood burning stove is believed to be the cause of the fire, the sheriff's office said.

Breitbach and her pets safely evacuated the home, and no injuries were reported.

The cost of the damage caused by the fire is unclear.
