West St. Paul police investigating early morning stabbing

Police in West St. Paul are investigating a stabbing that took place early Tuesday morning.

Police said officers were called to the corner of Oakdale and Marie avenues at about 1:40 a.m. The caller reported her boyfriend was stabbed by three males.


When officers arrived, they found the victim, who had no permanent address, lying on the ground with a stab wound to the abdomen, police said.

The caller and victim weren't able to provide any other details about the incident, police said, and the victim was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident remains under investigation.
