A fire engulfs a house in Waite Park early this morning.

The Waite Park Police Department is reporting extensive damage to a house in Waite Park after a fire that occurred around 3:21 a.m Sunday.

According to a release from Waite Park police, units from the police department and the Waite Park Fire Department were dispatched to a single-family house at 140 10th Ave North in Waite Park. No one was living in the house, and no one was injured as a result of the fire, according to the release.


Upon arrival to the scene emergency personnel spotted smoke and flames in the basement windows and through the roof of the house, the release stated.

The cause of the fire is unclear, but the incident remains under State Fire Marshall and Waite Park Police investigation.

The St. Cloud and St. Joseph fire departments assisted with the fire call.
