On Thursday, thousands of volunteers packed backpacks full of school supplies for kids in need for United Way's Action Day.

Semi-trucks full of supplies were unloaded at Xcel Energy Center. After the backpacks are filled, they will be given out to 75 schools and nonprofits so they reach the hands of families that need them most.
