Victim of West Side St. Paul homicide identified

The victim of a homicide in the West Side neighborhood of St. Paul this past weekend has been identified.
St. Paul Police said, at 10:20 a.m., officers and paramedics responded to a report of an unconscious man who wasn't breathing on the 200 block of Belvidere Street East. Lifesaving measures were attempted but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Tuesday, the department identified the man as 60-year-old Cary Schmidt, of St. Paul.

Police said no arrests had been made as of Tuesday morning.
