Vicitim of fatal north Minneapolis shooting identified

Authorities have identified the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred Friday morning in north Minneapolis.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner identified the victim as 17-year-old Mohamed Abdiaziz Taher Hassan.


Police investigate north side homicide, 3rd in Minneapolis this week

The shooting occurred just after 1 a.m. on 3200 block of Lyndale Avenue.

Upon arrival, authorities found a male victim, later identified as Hassan, and transported him to North Memorial Medical Care. He died at the hospital a short time later, police said.
