Police say one of the victims from a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning in Minneapolis has died from their injuries.

Minneapolis Police Department Public Information Officer John Elder identified the victim as a man in his 20s.

Elder also said an additional victim went to an area hospital Tuesday evening saying they were injured during a shooting at the same location.

6 injured in overnight Minneapolis shooting

According to police, just before 2 a.m., officers were notified about a ShotSpotter activation on the 200 block of West Broadway Avenue.

When officers arrived at the scene, they learned that five of the victims were taken to area hospitals. Officers located an additional victim near the area where the shooting took place.

Elder said those injured in the shooting include two women in their 20s, a man in his 30s, and three men in their 40s.

Investigators are working to identify "what part each of these individuals played" in the incident, Elder said.
