President Donald Trump has announced that Wednesday will be a National Day of Mourning for former President George H.W. Bush. All United State Postal Service deliveries and retail services will be suspended that day.

According to the USPS, Trump said the American people should pay homage to the memory of the 41st commander-in-chief for his vast contributions to the United States during his lifetime. Consistent with the presidential proclamation, the Postal Service will observe the National Day of Mourning.

USPS will provide limited package delivery service Wednesday to ensure its network remains fluid and USPS does not experience any impacts to its package delivery operations that might negatively affect customers or business partners during the remainder of the holiday season.

The release states that all USPS facilities are included in the national day of mourning.
