U of M student reported missing in India found safe

A 20-year-old University of Minnesota student who went missing in India has been found safe, according to the student's aunt. 

Elizabeth Mann went missing Thursday morning in Anjuna, India.


Mann was found by local police. Police Inspector Suraj Gawas told KSTP Mann was found outside the city of Anjura. 

Gawas said a taxi driver told police he was bringing her from Panchgani, a city more than seven hours away from Anjura. 

"She is OK," Gawas said. "She is good now." 

Mann was visiting India to participate in a yoga retreat and was traveling alone.
