Two 13-year-old boys were involved in a high-speed chase early Friday, the Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office reports.

According to a release, a deputy attempted to stop the vehicle north of Ottertail City on Highway 78, but the driver of the vehicle refused to stop. The deputy pursued the vehicle with speeds reaching 100 miles-per-hour.

Deputies attempted to use tire deflation devices but were unsuccessful. The chase eventually ended with the suspect's vehicle crashing just south of Perham.

Neither the driver nor passenger were injured, and they were arrested without further incident.

It was later learned that the vehicle had been stolen earlier in Deer Creek. The driver was taken to the Moorhead Juvenile Detention Center while the passenger was released to a relative.
