2 injured in shooting near Allianz Field

UPDATE: The St. Paul Police Department has identified the two victims as a 16-year-old male and a 24-year-old man.

On Monday, police corrected the information initially given out. The 16-year-old suffered a gunshot wound considered not to be life-threatening to the abdomen and the 24-year-old was grazed in the head by a bullet but suffered a gunshot wound not considered to be life-threatening to his arm.


Two victims were being treated for non life-threatening gunshot wounds in a shooting Sunday night in St. Paul's Midway neighborhood, according to a tweet from the St. Paul Police Department

The shooting occurred around 7:35 p.m. at the corner of University Avenue West and Pascal Street North. 

According to a St. Paul Police spokesperson, two men were shot, one suffered a graze wound to the head and was also shot in the arm. The other victim was shot multiple times in the torso. Both are expected to survive.

Preliminary investigation shows that a group was congregated behind a laundromat when another group walked by. At some point gunshots were fired. 

Police believe that they have one shooter in custody but are currently looking for a second.
