Two injured in East Midway shooting

Two people were injured in a shooting near Johnny Baby's in St. Paul late Friday night, a St. Paul Police spokesperson said.

Police responded to a shooting at 11:52 p.m. Friday in the 900 block of University Avenue West in St. Paul. A male victim was shot in the ankle and a female victim suffered a graze wound. Neither injury is life threatening, the spokesperson said.

The female victim was reportedly in the area to pick up her friend and was caught in the gunfire.

No information about a suspect is available at this time.
