The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating two deadly crashes that happened within 15 minutes of one another Saturday.

The first crash occurred near Rockford at around 10:45a.m.

The driver of an Infiniti was traveling eastbound on Hwy. 55 at County Road 50 when a westbound semi crossed over the median curb and struck the Infiniti head on, killing the Infiniti's driver, according to the incident report.

The driver has since been identified as Steven Douglas Cullinan, 49, of Buffalo. The two people in the semi had non-life-threatening injuries, the report said.

The second crash involved a driver identified as Chad Eugene Rannow, 47, who drove off the roadway and into a ditch East of South Haven.

Rannow vaulted off of a driveway and came to rest at J&J Marine at around 11:00 a.m., the incident report says.

Both incidents are under investigation.
