The Minnesota Wild honors Herb Brooks with 'The Greatest Day Celebration'

The Minnesota Wild will be honoring Herb Brooks' Legacy with "The Greatest Day Celebration" in St. Paul. 


Nearly 40 years ago Brooks was with the 1980 USA Olympic team when they beat the odds of defeating Russia.

Wayne Peterson, Minnesota Wild Director of Community Relations and Hockey Partnerships and Dave Brooks, former Olympic hockey player and younger brother of Herb Brooks tells 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS all about the celebration and what fans are expected to see. 

The Greatest Day Celebration will take place on Saturday, Feb. 22 in downtown Saint Paul and will honor the 40th anniversary of the United States victory over the Soviet Union at the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, N.Y.
