Teen pulled from bottom of New Brighton pool, taken to hospital

A 15-year-old is recovering at a hospital after being found unresponsive at the bottom of an apartment complex swimming pool. It happened at about 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Garden View Apartments.

The Ramsey County Sheriff's Office said a New Brighton Police officer quickly jumped into the pool and pulled the teen out.


The sheriff's office said responders were able to restore the boy's pulse. He was then transported to Children's Hospital in Minneapolis. There was no update on his condition.

There was no lifeguard on duty at the time, the sheriff's office said.

No other details were immediately available.
