The release said the teen and his friends were filming a rap video in a parking lot around 7 p.m. on the 1800 block of Riverside Avenue. Surveillance footage showed the teen was in the front passenger seat of a vehicle when Abdulahi drove into the lot where the group was.

The attorney's office said the teen got out of the vehicle, ran to the driver's side window of Abdulahi's vehicle and fired multiple shots. The teen then fled the parking lot.

A witness who heard gunshots said he saw the teen a few blocks from the shooting scene. The teen, who knew the witness, asked for a ride. The release said the teen entered the witness' vehicle with a firearm and said he had just shot someone.
