The inaugural Taste Fore The Tour will take place in a couple of weeks.

The event is to be held on July 1 at the Interlachen Country Club in Edina. The guest of honor will be six-time major champion and CBS golf analyst Nick Faldo. The event is scheduled to be the "first course" for the 3M Open, a new professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour to be held July 4-7 at TPC Twin Cities in Blaine.

Taste Fore The Tour is a fundraiser for Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People (VEAP), a Twin Cities-based basic needs organization whose programs include access to healthy foods, social services, housing stability and supportive services. All proceeds from the event we be donated to VEAP.

This year's event is sold out, however, a public fundraiser called, 'Tee Off Against Hunger' has been created by organizers to help with donations towards VEAP and next year's event. According to a release, VEAP can feed one person for one week for $1.50, translating to just $78 a year.

Donors who donate $78 or more online will be entered in a drawing to win two tickets to attend next year's event.
