A video chat with Twin Cities media revealed a few things about Gopher quarterback Tanner Morgan. For one, he has a whiteboard in his bedroom in case he needs to diagram plays at any time. He also left an important personal item on campus when he had to stay home after spring break.

Morgan was at his parents home in Kentucky for spring break when the University of Minnesota closed its campus due to the ongoing health crisis, but he's making do.
He says he's doing outdoor workouts as much as he can, and is also using the private home gym of a nearby Gopher alumnus.
Morgan says he's in constant contact with his teammates and incoming freshmen to try to make sure everyone is as prepared as possible once they're given the green light to get back together and practice.
Whenever that happens, Morgan plans to build on the major breakout season he enjoyed in 2019.
During his stellar sophomore season last fall, Morgan broke several Gopher football single-season records including: passing yards (3,253), touchdown passes (30), completion percentage (66.0%), touchdowns-to-interception ratio (30 TD, 7 Int) and passing efficiency (178.7).
His 278 passing yards in the Outback Bowl win over Auburn is a Gopher postseason record and he carries a program-best streak of 14 straight games with a passing touchdown into next season.
Morgan is 15-4 as the Gophers starting quarterback.
