Downtown Minneapolis isn't the only busy spot in the Twin Cities this weekend.

Hundreds of private planes have been touching down at the St. Paul Downtown Airport. In fact, at one point Saturday afternoon, a plane landed roughly every five to 10 minutes.

However, finding a place to park those planes isn't easy.

"This is about five times the amount of aircraft that we have at any one of our largest events," St. Paul Downtown Airport Manager Joe Harris said.

While the airport has three runways, only one is in use this weekend.

Two of the airport's runways are being used exclusively as places for private planes to park.

When you factor in Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport and the other reliever airports, up to 1,100 planes are expected to park throughout the state.
