The metro area can expect sunshine and temperatures in the lower 40s Monday.

KSTP Chief Morning Meteorologist Ken Barlow said "sunshine in some form," either a partly or mostly sunny sky, is expected to last through the week.

Barlow said temperatures will hover in the 40s and 50s at the beginning of the week before a slight warmup occurs Thursday.

Looking ahead, Barlow said the end of the week and beginning of the weekend is expected to be partly sunny with only an isolated chance of a rain shower Friday and Saturday.
