Summer Harvest for Kids held Thursday at Mall of America

May 30, 2019 10:03 PM

The annual Summer Harvest For Kids Food Drive was held Thursday at Mall of America.

5 EYEWITNESS NEWS again teamed up with MATTER and The Food Group to make sure kids continue to receive healthy meals, even though they aren't in school over the summer.

KSTP staff joined volunteers to pack healthy food.

Part of the event was MATTER Box Madness, in which businesses competed against one another - going head-to-head in a friendly packing challenge.

This year's winner was InSports Foundation. Tradition Capital Bank finished second and Trimble and Lube-Tech finished third.

As of 9 p.m. Thursday, a total of $144,013 had already been raised.

You can continue to donate online. For more information on how to do so, click here.
