June 06, 2018 09:09 AM

The Summer Eats Minnesota app is a year old, and going into this summer they're ready to feed more kids.

The app is GPS based and it allows kids and parents to see the closest location for free food during the summer.

Many of the locations serve breakfast, lunch and dinner to kids up to the age of 18.

Last summer, the app received 1,700 downloads.
