2 Men Arrested in Connection with Crystal Bank Robbery

Two men were arrested Sunday after a robbery at a Crystal bank, Crystal police said.

The TCF bank at the Cub Foods, 5301 36th Avenue North, in Crystal was robbed about 1:55 p.m.


Police said one suspect entered the bank and passed a note demanding money and implied they had a weapon.

St. Louis Park Police Department found the suspect vehicle about 2 p.m. at an Arby's Restaurant in Brooklyn Center. The Hennepin County Sheriff's office arrested the suspects about 10 minutes later, according to Crystal assistant police chief Mike Meehan.

The FBI has identified the suspects as Marcus D. Houston, 24, of Chicago and Tavarus Hardaway, 48,  of St. Louis Park.  Both are in Hennepin County Detention Center in Minneapolis.
