Crews will start sandbagging efforts in Stillwater on Thursday, and volunteers are requested.

However, if you'd like to help, you have to register here.

A post on the Washington County Flood Response Facebook page says volunteers who don't fill out the form won't be able to participate, and no walk-ups will be accepted.

Volunteers must be at least 14 years old to participate, and there are only 25 slots per shift. Those slots will be allotted to groups on a first come, first serve basis, depending on availability.

The post said groups wanting to help should contact Jennifer Kmecik at 651-439-7434 or send an email to

Once you've completed the volunteer registration form, you'll receive a confirmation email that contains details for your shift. If you don't receive a confirmation email, you'll have to resubmit the form.
