The family dog that once belonged to a Blaine police officer and an Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota is now being adopted after the two were killed in a head-on crash June 15.

According to the Blaine Police Department's Twitter, Steve and Marilyn (Susie) Nanney's dog Ranger was adopted by Jennah, a Blaine Community Service Officer. 

 A memorial service was held at Blaine High School on Thursday. Steve served as the school resource officer there for three years.
