The Minnesota State Patrol is seeking information about a semitrailer that may have been stopped in the area of Interstate 94 and Wright County Road 18 prior to a major crash Thursday that involved 29 vehicles.
According to witnesses, a white semi with a white trailer was stopped on I-94 in the flow of traffic. Witnesses told the Minnesota State Patrol that it appeared the driver was clearing snow for their windshield.
The State Patrol believes the non-emergency stop may have played a role in the crash.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Minnesota State Patrol at 320-223-6666.
Nine people involved in the crash were taken to the hospital by ambulance. Several vehicles that were in the crash also caught fire.
