St. Paul police 'tactically disengage' from standoff, still investigating incident

UPDATE: 

Police in St. Paul say they have "tactically disengaged" from a standoff after the person in crisis was no longer a threat to themselves or others.

The St. Paul Police Department said it is still investigating the incident.


Police in St. Paul are at a scene of a standoff where a man is reported to have a weapon inside of a residence

A police presence is active in the area of the 700 block of Jackson Street. 

According to the St. Paul Police Police Department, the man is armed with a weapon and another person is inside of the building as well. 

Police say an individual was able to leave the home. The person suffered injuries that are not considered life-threatening. 

A SWAT negotiator is at the scene, according to the department.
