St. Paul juvenile detention center to close

The fate of a juvenile detention center for teenage boys in St. Paul has been debated for years. 

On Tuesday, a decision was made to close Boys Totem Town, which is located in the Battle Creek neighborhood of St. Paul.

The closure falls in line with the county's modern alternative of juvenile rehabilitation versus juvenile incarceration.
