An arrest has been made in connection with last night's homicide in St. Paul, according to a tweet from St. Paul Police. Shakee Shabazz Miller Brantley, 27, of Minneapolis has been charged with 2nd degree murder.

One woman identified as 27-year-old Jessica Williams of St. Paul was found dead in the Frogtown neighborhood of St. Paul Friday night.

In a statement, St. Paul Police say they received a 911 call at about 9:25 p.m. Friday night. The caller stated that a mother had failed to pick up her child from daycare and that no one was answering the door at the mother's home on the 500 block of Charles Avenue.

When officers arrived, they reportedly saw blood inside the home and found Williams who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers also found two children who appeared unharmed in a different room of the home. The children were immediately evacuated. Police did not have the children's exact ages, but stated that they appear to be between 5 and 12.

Police say the victim is the children's mother.
