Authorities are investigating a fire that broke out in a St. Paul  single-story commercial building Sunday, according to a St. Paul Fire Department spokesperson. 

Firefighters responded to the fire on the 700 block of University Avenue after firefighters at St. Paul Fire Department Station 18 spotted smoke and fire coming from the structure and notified dispatch, the fire department said in a tweet following the incident.
