The St. Paul City Council Wednesday voted to expand residential permit parking near Allianz Field.

Because of limited parking around the stadium, street parking seems to be the next best option that's still close. But that has made it difficult for residents in the area.

The Union Park District Council recommended the city allow the expansion of residential permit parking around the stadium, and a few petitions were submitted to formally propose the expansion.

The council's approval expands residential permit parking between Asbury and Pascal streets from Concordia to Iglehart Avenues, and between Pierce Street and Snelling Avenue between Concordia and Carroll Avenues.
