A 40-year-old man was found dead outside a camper in Hudson Tuesday.

According to the St. Croix County Sheriff's Office, at about 3:45 p.m., authorities received a report of a person who had died at a camp site in Willow River State Park.


Upon arrival, authorities found the man outside the camper. The official cause of death has not yet been released. The man has not yet been identified.

Authorities said there was no risk to public safety.

Officials with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and St. Croix County Sheriff's Office were working with the St. Croix County Medical Examiner's Office to investigate the incident.
