St. Cloud Police responded to a report of a man with a gun on the 300 block of 4th Avenue South at 3:34 a.m. Saturday morning. While enroute the officers received updated information that a man had been shot in a nearby alley.

When officers arrived to the scene they found a 24-year-old male in the driver's side of a car with a gunshot wound. Officers immediately provided aide to the victim who was later transported to the hospital.


The victim was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Based on preliminary investigation, police believe there was an altercation during a party at an apartment. The argument is believed to have proceeded outside and led to the shooting. 

When shots were fired, multiple people fled the scene, including possible suspects. No weapons or suspects have been located at this time. 

The case is under investigation.
