South Minneapolis woman dies days after house fire

The city of Minneapolis is reporting the first fire fatality of 2019. The Minneapolis fire department says it responded to a house fire around 10 p.m. Wednesday on the 5200 block of 36th Avenue South. 

Firefighters found an unconscious adult female near the back door and carried her outside before taking her to a hospital. The woman died on Friday as a result of her injuries.
