Some south Minneapolis residents are wondering what is going on with their mail delivery.
People living in the Diamond Lake, Hale and Field neighborhoods have reported their mail hasn't been delivered every day.
Dede Ciprari said she went three days without receiving her mail, which she called "unheard of." Ciprari said she had been waiting a number of days for an important package to arrive.
Kim Hagen said her mailbox has been empty for a number of days, too. Hagen said she was concerned about whether her sons would receive their W-2s for tax refunds.
The United States Postal Service wouldn't comment on this specific issue, but issued a statement:
"The Postal Service strives for timely and accurate service with each mail piece handled and takes disruptions to that service very seriously. Every reported customer concern is actively addressed."
USPS added that inclement weather, like the snow the Twin Cities received in late January, can cause mail delays.
"Prolonged effects take place when snow and ice become a problem for mail carriers," the statement reads.
The Postal Service asked residents to clear snow from curbside mail boxes, walkways and steps to help with the issue.
