At the Minnesota State Fair, there are several rides that have been around for generations, but one stands above them all.

Ben Kantor's father bought the Space Tower more than three decades ago.

"People ask how the business is going," Kantor said. "I say it's up and down."

The ride opened more in the 1960s and countless fairgoers have taken a seat with a view from 330 feet high.

"We get about 50,000 to 60,000 people through every fair," Kantor said. "Multiply that times 50."

The Space Tower got stuck a few years ago, after a squirrel knocked out power at the fairgrounds.
