It was a slow commute Wednesday in the metro and throughout the state.
Meteorologist Sam Ryan, filling in for Traffic Reporter Josie Smith, said drive times had doubled along many major highways and interstates Wednesday.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported there were 149 crashes between midnight and 10 a.m. Wednesday. Fourteen of those crashes caused injuries and none were serious or fatal. The state patrol also stated there were 161 vehicle spinnouts during that period of time.

Meanwhile, Metro Transit reported delays Wednesday morning.
