The body of a man was recovered Tuesday from a Dakota County lake, according to the sheriff's office.

Captain Dan Bianconi, with the Dakota County Sheriff's Office, said deputies and the Burnsville police responded around 1 a.m. to Crystal Lake on the report of a body that was recovered.

Bianconi said the sheriff's office is still in the process of notifying family. 

An official release of the incident is due to come out Wednesday.
