Shakopee boy awarded National Boy Scouts of America honor medal for lifesaving skills

A Shakopee boy recently received the National Boy Scouts of America honor medal for his lifesaving skills.

Cub Scout Logan Luedtke's family was in a weather-related car crash last year in Eden Prairie.

Their car ended up in a creek, but Luedtke was able to get his mother and two brothers out of the car and creek. They then waited for emergency crews to arrive.

He was recognized Wednesday as part of the "Million Dollar Day for Scouting," Northern Star Scouting's annual fundraising campaign.
