Setup underway for St. Paul Winter Carnival

The St. Paul Winter Carnival is now just over a week away.

The 133rd annual version of the event will run from Jan. 24 to Feb. 3.  And setup is already well underway.

This marks the first year the Vulcans are building a 3,500 square-foot snow castle at their snow park located within the State Fairgrounds. The structure went up Wednesday with bright fire-red scaffolding.
