Police in Northern Minnesota say a 20-year-old search for a missing woman is no longer a cold case.

ABC affiliate WDAZ in Grand Forks reports authorities now believe the woman was murdered and are digging at a farm in Kittson County searching for her body.

The Kittson County Sheriff's Department has been using tools such as backhoes and cadaver dogs in the search for Becky Jo Look, who was reported missing by family members in the winter of 1996, though she had not been seen for almost five months before that.

Deputies said they will put a search team of 100 people on the ground if needed. Thus far, crews have not found anything.

The department is also asking for help from the public with the investigation.
