MPS, SPPS, Anoka-Hennepin announce school closures

Minneapolis Public Schools, Anoka-Hennepin Schools and St. Paul Public Schools have announced that classes are canceled Thursday.

Anoka-Hennepin announced its schools will be closed Thursday "due to snowy, icy and windy winter weather conditions." The closure also affects school- and/or district-sponsored after-school and evening activities.


According to Minneapolis Public Schools, its closure affects all schools, buildings, programs, events and activities, both school-related and athletic. The Davis Service Center, Minneapolis Community Education, Early Childhood and Minneapolis Kids child care programs are also affected.

St. Paul Public Schools announced its closure includes the cancelation of classes at all schools in addition to early childhood and special education classes, after-school programs and activities and Extended Day for Learning.
