A Minnesota youth hockey coach was captured on video striking a Minnesota youth hockey referee during a game at Breezy Point this past weekend.

Police in Breezy Point confirmed the incident happened Saturday.

It remains unclear what led up to the confrontation, but KSTP can confirm the coach seen in the video- Daniel Sojka of South St. Paul- was cited for disorderly conduct in the incident. Sojka is listed as a coach for Apple Valley youth hockey, according to the organization's website.

The organization has not left a comment on the incident. 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS has reached out to Sojka to hear the story from his side, but there has been no reply.
