Investigators are trying to figure out who put a racist note in a family's mailbox.

A Chanhassen woman found the note pictured above in her mailbox yesterday, and a friend posted it to Facebook. The post says the woman is white and her 11-year-old daughter is black.

The Carver County Sheriff's Office said it's unacceptable, and deputies are looking into the matter.

However, the sheriff's office said it will be tough to identify a suspect without witnesses or viable evidence.

If you have any information that could help the sheriff's office, you can contact them at 952-361-1212.
