A rural Princeton man died after a shed fire Wednesday, the Mille Lacs County Sheriff said.

The fire was reported at 3:49 p.m. on the 5100 block of 160th Ave. in Greenbush Township.

Stanley Orton, 61, was working inside a shed on his property west of Princeton when the fire broke out, Princeton Fire Chief Jim Roxbury said.

Orton was pulled from the fire by Evan Orton, 32. Stanley Orton was badly burned and taken to a burn unit in the Twin Cities, where he died. Evan Orton was treated for burns at Fairview Medical Center in Princeton.

The shed, which was near a house, had five classic cars and a trailer inside, Roxbury said.

"The dollar loss is probably high," Roxbury said.

The fire is under investigation. It is believed to be an accident, Sheriff Brent Lindgren said.
