Roseville police say a body was found by a citizen Friday.

A release said that citizen had been in the area of the northeast corner of Dale Street and Roselawn Avenue looking for shed antlers when they spotted a body near some trees in a vacant lot.


Officers responded and confirmed the individual was dead.

An investigation is underway, and the release said crime scene personnel from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension were on the scene assisting.

No identity has yet been released.

The body will be transported to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy and the official identification.
